How Long Do You Keep Your Bmw?
longest i've kept any of my cars is my mk3 golf gti i had for 6yrs. i've had a reno 19 16v chamade, another mk3 gti, a nissan 300zx, an escort estate (si), a lwb transit, a mk1 xr2 and a mk1 supersport, all been and gone quite quickly. but the next longest i had a car for is 3yrs with my leon cupra. woh, i've just realised how many stinkers i've had in my time, but i have seen the light and now enjoying my m3 :D

Window Tint Advice Needed
i was thinking that actually. i didn't want a really dark tint so i was thinking a 70% on the front and 50% on rears. and i suppose it would look like it's been done within the legal requirements (by eye)

Window Tint Advice Needed
thanks for your comments al. i think 1st on the agenda is talking to my insurer. as to the bending window frame....i don't have them as it's a coupe so they'll need to break the glass to get in no matter (not trying to sound flippant) what which was why i was thinking of the film making it more of a nuisance for them (maybe they'll do the easier car), i do not have anything in the car and definitely nothing on show. i have got a number for a "tinter" fairly close to me that does alot of work for car sales and dealers etc, and was recommended by a work colleague, the price is "around" £200, is that about right? ta :D

Faulty Alarm ???
like dabsy said, it could just be the battery tbh. i had an issue with 1 of our work vans the other day (rear door not opening, then would, locking and unlocking with 1 touch of fob.....tbh it was acting very peculiar to say the least.......anyway it was the battery  :D

Window Tint Advice Needed
right, i want to get my windows tinted but not entirely sure whether to do it or not! 1) will it make my insurance premiums go up? or can i get away with not telling them if i do it? 2) would you say it decreases/increases the risk of it being broken into (the film "apparently" makes it more challenging to get into as the glass won't just shatter into the car if smashed!!!) 3) what can i get away with without getting pulled by 5 0 every day? 4) should i do it at all? oh and for those of you who don't know my car.........

Your Plans For Your Bmw
Was thinking of coilovers, just don't wanna compromise ride comfort. And I'm happy with my gloss black m3 standards (immaculate as well), but there is time to change my mind! :)
