aint been on here for ages but still hi everyone! :D i have a 1996 e36 coupe but i was thinking of gettin an e46... my mate has 2 down his yard atm but they have problems e.i 1 dosnt start for some reson and the other has a noisey engine where its grinding and has black smoke coming out the back. it does it at idle and when driving, i was wondering if i could swap my 328i lump into it? id rather not have to do loadss of work other than a straigt swap or do we think the current lump just neeeds some little work to get it running sweet....

is this re dye you speak of stuff i can do my self or is it a professional thing? hmmm a re trim sounds temping but i would also need the door cards and arm doing as well

you can go on ebay and buy an angel eye kit for your standerd headlights i think its £30 which isnt to bad ,but since ive never brought one i dont know if its any good :/

hello one and all :) im just putting up somes pics of my 328i with very tiered leather seats ,any suggestions as to how i can resort them or replace them? any suggestions would be helpful atm coz i really dont know what to do,the pic doesnt show the wear very good but its down to the suede so i guess there knackerd?:( ,thanks for reading!:D

and keep the heater on full , the bleeding process is a pain in the !Removed! and it can take awhile but once done proplery it might be all right ,hope this helps ya m8

sounds like a bad airlock or fan swich on the rad ,if you have a mutimeter test the resistance and see if it is the same as whats in the haynes manual or autodata ,but to bleed it properly take the cap off the rad rev the car to 2000rpm (fast idle) and let all the air purge out of the header tank also dont let the headertank empty out coz you'll be back to square one

hi there barney :) ,ive not long brought a 328i coupe for £405 ,its a sound motor ,mines done 144000 miles no service history but it has 12months mot and pleanty if power ,normally a good service and injector cleaner will help with the bhp they had 190bhp when they left the factory back in the 90s ,but an uprated air filter and exhurst will give it a bit extra power and it will sound like a beast ;)

you might need a new pump of ya washer jets bout £15 from halfords or nick one from the scrap yard just be careful coz there is a nipple that the pipe goes on which snaps easliy if you yank the pipe off also check your fuses like gav said there only pennies ,shocks are nothing major probs about £180 max both sides fitted ,tyre £15 part worn ,fuel lines cant say as ive never had them go on any car ive had ,if you park your car on grass that can make the underneth such as the fuel lines corroad and rust like a ##### ,hope this helps :D

ive got the car back on my driveway safe and sound ,ive taken a few pics of the 'butters' interior but im not sure on how to upload them :/ so if anyone could help me with that i would be most grateful :D ,oh and it seems all the eletrics work just the ac could do with re gassing but that nothing major ;)

i decided to buy the 328i because mum wants a nicer car go around in ,all i hope is nothing to expensive goes wrong coz im the mug who ends up paying/fixing it! ill post pics tomorrow when i pick it up...

i do like this one alot but ill sleep on it ,i have till tomorrow to decide ,lol hes got my number and i have his one ,i do like a good project but ive never undertaken a bmw before so its unfamiler terrtory ,well ill keep you posted it i do buy it and ill post a picture of it to see what ya'll think :) thanks for the advice dabs ,btw i like the ed china picture :D
