i have some of what can only be described as mayonnaise under my oil cap. dose this mean its head gaskit time at 105,000 surely not?

my 328i is back on the road and running lovely. takeing it to a rolling road on the 27th see how meany horses it has lost in its 13 years of life, then i got to get to work rounding the lost ones back up and hopefully a few more for the nurumberg ring next year.i paid £800 for it spent 400 sorting it out now i got a lovely e36 with 98k on it. dont half drink the !Removed! juce tho :)

i have no clue its just what one of my mates sead. they are probly talking bubbles.

is it true for the 328 e36 a z3 gear stick works as a short shift?

I took my diff off a couple of days ago because there was a grinding noise. I have opened it up and it looks ok inside, but there is a slight bit of play on both the output flanges is this normal? Also when I spin the bit where the propshaft bolts to it sounds like it is scratching is this right? If not can these pats be replaced or do I need a new one

as above really.. also does anybody know of anyone who can recondition these units? preferably near the midlands??

hi after being a bit thick and trying to sign in with my email instead of my username i am finaly sorted. thanks gav. this my 328i hopefully some happy miles in it. got a few bits and bobs to do on it. takeing it to nurburg next year should be fun.that place is amazing well worth a trip. i have just come back i will try and get some pics up.

Hi Guys, I am new to this site recently brought a 328i 1998 with 102 000 miles. There is a knock coming from the front I have got it down to the steering rack I have ordered one. Is there anything I should know about fitting one, also it has a e36 m3 LSD on it which sounds like it is grinding. Do you think this means a new one? If so where can I get a replacement? Going to get it on the ramps this weekend and have a good poke around anything I should check? Also my ASC light doesn't come on when I push the button would like it to work because I don't want it to catch the mrs out. lol Thanks
