First time posting on here. I bought a 118i F20 fitted with a B38 three cylinder. Cara has been great so far but recently the engine started playing up and was told it needed a new cam shaft. Found the funds to get it change, which was quite a lot. That was fitted and all was great. Now I have a problem that the engine hunts, goes from tick over to 2000 revs and back down again in a repeating cycle. No idea whats going on. But the garage seems to think the cam cover is leaking and has sent it off for pressure testing! this is very confusing for me. Any ideas would be amazing.
