cant make up my mind if they are good to have or if they could end up backfiring and prosecuting yourself??? example... if your involved in an accident and your dashcam says you was over the speed limit at the time.

never had stop/start..can someone give me the low down on if they are good or not? can you turn it off? is it annoying?
