i had my 4.6 for about six months and had no problems really with engine but spent a few quid on running gear ie had both sway arms replaced gear box softwear update and is currently got back end striped off for sub frame bushes but driving it makes it worth it

On the x5 you need the selector switch on the right for auto mirror dip to work

I agree with dabs spray looks pants and can be mot falier proper tinted lights look better and are road legal I got slight tinted lights there are some before and after pics on x5 forum of mine and they dident break the bank

My x5 is £444 a year if you know what your cars emissions are I think you can find out cost on dvla car tax web site

Apparently it's an update to overcome a common fault the x5 has when traveling between first and second gear to be honest I dissent have a clue what the gezza was talking about but they have looked after my dads 7 series for ten years and if £48 sorts out the problem I don't give a fook what they do and as for rear sub frame bushes I could prob get bits myself and do the job but I'm a strong believer in stick to what you know . If I did it myself it would take me maybe two days in this time i can earn £600 doing my job so by letting them do it I'm quits in !!!

Welcome to the club mate a fella got one in our couldersack lovely car until he starts it up at half seven on a Sunday morning !!

Finally got to the bottom of this problem. Sport mode judder is due to sub frame bushes and low speed judder is due to gear box needing BMW upgrade softwear All four sub frame bushes = £450 gear box upgrade software reprogram = £48

Then Christmas seven weeks later !!!

It keeps needing to be filled with petrol !!! Common problem with a 4.6 lump

Hi mate that's weird I popped to the shops for a pint of milk the other day and came home with new trainers :-) Anyway welcome to the club

Think I just sorted mine when the mirror selector on drivers door is to the right drivers mirror auto tilt activates when reverse is selected but with this switch to the left passenger mirror it stays put when reverse is selected

Have you forgotten to take your tablets thus morning dabs

Mines working fine now just needs updating so I'm not driving on fields and rivers on the screen :-)

And there's me thinking a lap top was just for portable p*rn :-)

Mine does that and I'm looking into how to disable it Let you know as soon as I worked it out
