    Oil for my (new) 2002 X5 3.0i

    MiRH posted a topic in BMW X5 Series Forum
    I've recent bought my first X5, a 2002 3.0i. Despite it being looked after previously, the oil currently is rather black and a bit sludgey so i am going to drain and change it. I've gone for 0w-30 castrol edge, which i'll add a Slick 50 or Wynns Oil boost to. There shouldn't be any major issues with that right, i know 5w-40 is the default? The car has just crept over 148k miles. -Matt
