    Thanks for you post. Luckily I was able to purchase of the internet a sat nav MK 1V OS upgrade, which booted my system back to life, also upgrade to speed camera. Only cost £25 and not the mega bucks BMW would charge

    Hi, help needed. I have a x5 e53, 2005, MK1V sat nav. I foolishly tried to update my Satnav, downloaded link from internet, which was supposed to be an upgrade. However it appears to have downgraded my system, lost navigation but still have phone, TV, Computer but no satnav. There is no display on top right corner that tells me what version I have. Is there a way to restore previous version.
