Hello I am looking to buy a 2004-2006 Diesel X3 next month (October) and want to buy a good one. I have a novice level of knowledge when buying cars so was wondering if anyone (ideally a trained mechanic) would be able to assist by looking at the car with me. I am based in Cardiff but will probably end up looking out of this area also. I am happy to pay decently for assistance provided. My other option is to get an RAC or AA check but by the time they are booked and done any car may have already been sold and i would have wasted my money (they can take 2-3 days to get there from the booking time i read & can't guarantee when they will get there). Alternatively i might contact local garages to the prospective car and see if a mechanic can look over the car for me. Anyone available to help or can offer any advice? Thanks
