    My BMW was driving fine until yesterday when I wanted to go somewhere, it would not let me put it into any gear when the engine is started however when I switch it off I can put it into any gear. I also noticed when I put it into R and when I release the clutch the car doesn't start to go backwards, could it be a master cylinder problem or something else?
