  1. Well I've got the car back from 'Powertune' in Widnes and what can I say... The exhaust note is extremely interesting (Bellow followed by high end roar). Power is up a little but the torque curve has been significantly changed consequently the car now accelerates like it should have done out of the factory..The total price for all the work on the new exhaust and the remap was £660. Well spent considering the price of a BMW exhaust. Economy seems just as good as before. Very happy!!!
  2. Found a slight split in the centre box of my Z4 and investigated exhaust costs. Having asked at a few exhaust centres for prices I was left with the info that it is a dealer replacement only...No after-market off the shelf systems. I contacted "Powertune" in Widnes, who tuned my S type diesel exceptionally well, they have quoted me £350 for an after Cat stainless hand made exhaust. Another few quid for the Powertune on top and I will let you know the results...
  3. I cannot comment on the Z3 option, however I converted a Peugot 406 1.8 to run LPG as a taxi. My opinion is DON'T do it. Firstly the mpg is reduced by about 10% when running lpg, power is also reduced and then there is the issue of weight gain as the tank is extremely heavy so I personally do not think it suitable for a sports car. My personal opinion only, please take pro advice.
