Hello all. I posted on Saturday that my wife and I were about to look at a 1 Series convertible and asked if I should look out for anything in particular before shaking hands on a deal. I think I shoulda introduced myself first, so here goes. I'll try and keep this as short as possible. I'm Jonny. 42. Alfa Romeo lover. My wife has fancied a white 1 Series convertible for a few years now and we both said that this was the year that she should get one. She saw one on Friday as she dropped her friend off at the BMW garage and had to book a test drive. We had the test drive on Saturday, my wife loved the car, we spoke about a trade in for my wife's Alfa Mito then went and discussed it over lunch. We did our sums, went back to the garage, haggled a wee bit then shook hands on a deal we were all happy with. It's a 118d Exclusive Edition, 1 owner with less than 29,000 miles on the clock. We have plates to change over and a couple of small stone chips on the bonnet that the garage will sort. So hopefully we will have the car within the week. As I said earlier, I'm an Alfa lover and have had Alfa's for over 25 years (My current car is a Sportwagon) My enthusiasm for Alfa's rubbed off on my wife when she get her Mito four years ago. It has been a great wee car but the 1 Series was too good to miss out on. This will be the first BMW either of us have had. Although it will be my wife's car I'll be the one that's on here looking for any info on the car or just to catch up. (So much for keeping it short😀)
