MSPORTBMW

Hi there.....I just purchased a 2009 x5 MSPORT with pro nav,bluetooth,bmw assist and online( not activated yet) My question is as stated in the title......as when I press the face button I hear no bleep or no sign comes up on the idrive. I'm thinking I don't have this option but just thought it would have been included as I have pro nav and BT. if I don't have it working....is it something that can be coded using a scanner to enable voice commands? Or is it just a case of not having the hardware needed fitted from the factory? Any help would be helpful Regards

Hi....I had a 2004 x5 with the webasto unit under the bonnet. On the nav screen mine also said aux vent but I wanted aux heating so it's nice and warm when I get in on cold icy mornings. After some research I purchased a bmw scanner 1.4.0 from ebay for around £30. Once I installed the software on my laptop all I done was plug the module into the car and changed from aux vent to aux heating. I too did not have the remote, but I used to set the timer 1 to start at 8 am as I leave my house at 8.30. Then when I get in the car it's not hot but warm.......just right in fact, plus the screen had defrosted.....nice !!!! The heater stays on for 30 mins before automatically turning off and it also says aux heating on the screen instead of aux vent like it did previously. So basically it just needs coding either by yourself with the scanner for free.....or at a garage for £££'s Hope this helps

E30 320i AC Schnitzer also in red. Manual. (F reg) 3. E46 318 ti in Individual Purple. Manual. (51) 4. E46 330CD in red. Auto. (04) 5. E60 530D in Carbon Black. Auto. (06) 6. E53 X5 3.0D Sport in Sapphire Black. Auto (04) 7. E70 X5 3.0D MSPORT in Carbon Black. Auto (09). (MY current car that I only got a week ago) So there it is.....never been able to afford a new one but loved every single one of them. At the moment I'm still learning the E70, but I absolutlely love it so far. I will be about in the forums from time to time to ask questions and maybe answer 1 or 2 myself.
