Bought an 840ci ('96) in a bit of disrepair, got it back on the road, but don't have the code for the radio. I've got a couple of security cards but they only have a 4 digit number and I don't think that's is it - I think the code is a 5 digit number. Will I have to go to a dreaded main dealer or is there a sensible solution? Is there anyone in Kent/London that is able to service the music side of things (am assuming it will need new speakers etc). Can't seem to get much sense out of anyone so any thoughts/help welcome.

    Hi, Glad to see a fellow 8 series owner, mine has been changed for an aftermarket unit ( BECKER) with built in sat nav & cd. so may be easier to buy a new unit. unless you are wanting to keep as original.
