hi all, i have a 745i, 4.4v8 and battery whent flat so i used jump leads and it turns over but no intentions of starting !, as if there is no fuel getting in engine (eg, cant smell any fuel), the AA came and said the ECU probably needs resetting, any ideas if its possible for me to reset ! eg, dissconnect the battery for a while ?, if anyone has ideas you could text me on my mobile and ill phone you back. 07961922498.

    Disconnecting the battery should work but it may mean the car runs like a sack of !Removed! for the first 50 miles whilst it sorts itself out..

    i had promlems like that using jump leads etc just didnt wont to know so ended up i just get a new battery. since then car has been running perfect :)

    Have the alternator tested too ;)
