Hello there,

Does anyone know wthat the difference is between the engine in the xdrive 35d and the xdrive40d? Is it just a software upgrade or is there also mechanical/fysical differences?

    Both 3ltr diesel lumps. The Xdrive35d boasts a Twin Turbo set up. According to the BMW UK website you can't get the Xdrive35d in the UK. All research I have done on it is coming from the US.

    I'm hoping someone else can add to this :)

    I have the 35d (US) 265hp. Great runner and mileage.
