When i bought the bmw i was told by the owner that he had changed the steering wheel and the clocks and said the airbag light would need reseting and also the abs light lol.Is there any way i could reset this? Also where is the diagnostic port on these cars?

Im pretty sure you wont be able to re-set these yourself, my car has been into bmw and had the airbag light re-set twice but its back on again.....the abs light you need to get sorted tho.......mot etc......you need to speak to Dabsy really he will tell you the answers.... :D

The Diagnostic port is under the bonnet in front of the Servo !

hahaha i dont believe that !!!!!!!!!! posted the exact same time :o

If it keeps returning then it could be either a fault at the steering wheel connection, OR the passenger seat occupancy sensor ...

Ahh... You didn't mention that before  ... Check the wiring under the passenger seat

If I had either ABS Or Airbags, I would know enough more to help :(

I will check the connections but do i still have to go to a garage to have the airbag light reset

If all the connections are there and correct then the answer to that is YEP !!
