Hi lads I have a 2002 520i and my cruise control is not working.

I got a problem with the boot not opening from outside and not opening from inside the car.I can open the boot with the key only.

Any info will be much appreciated.

First off welcome along.

The cruise control relies on a number of sensors and if any of these aren't working properly the system wont work. A good code reader should identify the issue. Have you got a friendly garage near you that will scan the system for free?

I have experienced a similar boot lock issue with a Focus in the past although it may not be caused by the same problem. On the Focus the boot lock was affected by water ingress. I took it out and stripped it. Cleaned it all up including the connections to the motor and got it working again. I sprayed the electrics with electrical sealant and didn't have an issue again.

Withcruise control:

I have CARLY FOR BMW app on my samsung phone with obd2 Bluetooth conection .No problems found.

ABS light coms on on start up and go off as it should. Same with every thing else on the dash.

Every thing else on the stearingwheel works fine (radio controls and air recirculation button ).

Just cruise control not working at all.

Any more info will be much appreciated.
