I'm putting DRL on my X1 but having trouble finding a switch live under the bonnet and trying to get to the fuse box is proving to be difficult can you point me in the right direction.

Thanks I dont think.

It looks like some have disconnected their fogs to power the DLR's which is a bit pointless. I take it you dont have the Day Light running Angel Eyes because you could have piggy backed these. Alternatively try getting the wireing in under the dash. As the drain is so low you should find something under the dash that is permanent live to link to.

It ok thanks sorted the problem, took 12v supply from just start post under bonnet and used a smart relay (as used in Caravans for the fridge etc), this relay turns the lights on when the battery is being charged approx 13V cost £10 ;)

Nice fix. Would like to see a photo of how they look if you get a chance.
