Hopefully someone can help here... i lastnight got in the car and drove to see my parents and reversed in to the car parking space like i normally do. I turned off the car and took the key from the dashboard, as i walked away i went to lock the car but on doing so the car started to beep sevral times then pause then started to beep again?? Almost like an alarm, i tried to solve this by pressing the buttons on the key but nothing happened it just continued the fob would not unlock the car. I took out the key from the bottom of the key fob to enter the car, when i got in there was nothing no interior lights no electrics what so ever.. even when i placed the fob in the dash there was nothing but total darkness nothing worked just no power. I managed to get a lift to fetch the spare keys thinking it may have been the key but when i got back to the car it was just the same still but the beeping had stopped. I was quite frustrated as i have only had the car a week... lol :( so i decided to go for a cup of tea. I went back to the car 15 minutes later and still no luck i opened the door with the key from the fob and got into the drivers seat and all of a sudden the inteior lights came on and all the power was back... it started straight up, i cannot understand why this happened and what on earth it could be. Id really appreciate if someone could shine a little light on the issue could this be an electrical fault? The car is still under warrenty so do i need to be going back and getting this issue sorted???

Yes, obviously an electrical issue, I doubt it would happen on cue if you took it to the Stealers...

Loads of possible causes and my favourite is damp-ingress in the modules/fuses !!
