Hi guys!

Just joined the forum as I have the bug for a classic-ish bmw...

I've seen some nice ones online and I'm particularly drawn to an e28 or e30.

If want to use it as an everyday car so could someone please comment on the better everyday car?

Also mpg is useful if anyone knows... There's a nice looking e28 1.8l on eBay and a few nice e30 325's but I'm torn...

hello & welcome to the forum -

there both good models to have. I am not sure about everyday use, mpg is down to how they are driven but they tend to be slight more on the mpg's than the newer models out now.

Yeah totally agree with the way they're driven...

I have a classic mini and that's getting around 35ish mpg so I just fancy something getting around the same but that's more practical with room and more reliable...

Now I could go for the modern car route but I find them boring so another, more reliable classic is what I'm looking for.

Oh, I drive quite sensible/ Eco as in not thrashing it all the time but obviously now and again... :)

Yeah looks that way... I'd love an e28 m5 but I need to win the littoral for one if those!

I think a decent e30 325 would do nicely!
