Tyre Pressure
Soz if this has been covered but does anyone know the best pressure for 225 45 17 MV alloys on a 320d touring? The car seems abit bouncy and has more road noise than I'd expect It's got 3 khumo's and 1 dunlop sport on it and I know the khumo's ain't the best but until I can change them I'd like to make sure they're pressured correctly, cheers.

Re-Map Or Chip?
Anyone on here Re-Mapped a 320d? would like to have mine done but I'm just abit worried about blowing seals, pipes etc with the increase in torque, is it safe enough to do? anyone? Cheers.

Evening All.
Hi again guys, not been on in a long while for one reason or another but the main one being I still ain't got a Beemer but that will change tomrrow fingers crossed, i've left a deposit on a 320d Touring and should be collecting it after I finish work around midday, it's been a long search and it's not the exact one I wanted but i'm pleased with my choice, I'll get some pics up once i've had a chance to give it a good polish, but it's basically a 320d (136) in silver 2001 which is older than I wanted but only 94k on the clock and full BMW history, it's an SE and has 17" MV alloys which could do with a bit of a re-furb so will have them done in Anthracite I think, full MOT and isn't smokey in anyway pulls well and you can hear the turbo whistling away, already got some subtle mods planned and look forward to being more involved now i've finally got one :D .

Phoned them a few times, said i wanted to see it as soon as possible, still not had a call off them so It's a no go don't like getting messed around, I've seen a very nice saloon with 120k, full leather high spec and a good price, would prefer a touring though.

Doesn't look like I'm going now, rang the garage they said It's at the MOT place getting a door lock fixed it should have been back Saturday but they never got there in time to pick it up so It's due back this morning he then took my number and said I'll ring them and phone you back in 5 mins that was at half 9 so not chasing round after them I've got the cash sat here so will just keep looking.

Modifying.
Hello again guys not been on much as I still ain't got a Beemer but i'm off to look at a 320d Touring tomorrow it's not exactly what I want but needs must now, it's a 2001 SE 136 with 150k on the clock but it's a good price and an ideal start for now then I can probably upgrade to one with less miles in a couple of years, anyway enough rambling I'm just wondering about some easy mods, want to update the front bumper to the one with round fogs also how easy is it to put in an aftermarket head unit with an ISO does it require a facia adapter? also has anyone got any experience of plug and play tuning boxes? quite like the idea of and extra 30odd BHP without too much hassle :D Cheers guys. How Much Is Your Fuel?
£1.28 for unleaded and £1.33 for Diesel round here which is pretty cheap compared to alot of places but still far too much, can't wait to find a Diesel Beemer so I can save a few quid :D

Newbie After Some Buying Advice.
Cheers matey, from what I can gather it's something to do with the pins that hold the flaps for the traction control in the intake manifold have a habit of breaking and trying to escape through the engine.

Newbie After Some Buying Advice.
I did mate thanks, quite abit to look out for then, what about these traction lifters do you know what they are? I was told they need updating or taking off as they have a habit off coming off and ripping through the engine.

Newbie After Some Buying Advice.
The newer the better mate, but got a limited budget so ideally a 2003/2004 hopefully with less than 100k on the clock but that's optimistic for what I have to spend. Thanks Gav.

Newbie After Some Buying Advice.
Hi guys i'm currently on the look out for a 3 series touring Diesel and wondered if anyone has done a buying guide or if you guys can give me some tips on what to look for when going to view? I have been told something about traction lifters (whatever that means) being a common problem does anyone have any info on this? Also what sort of mileage do you get for your money, how many miles would you expect to do on £20 for e.g mostly running round town but some motorway and A road driving aswell. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers :D

Newbie.
 should have one by then matey :D

Newbie.
Ok m8 will see what I can do the main reason the Lex is going is it's costing me far too much in juice, don't really get a chance to get to meets unless there pretty local but with an oil burner that may change.
