  1. Thanks guys :)
  2. Oh, and I need to change the number plates as the old (dealer supplied) ones are getting a bit tired. I'm still trying to get some pictures up of it... Got one!
  3. Hello all! My name's Daaoud Shafi, I'm a student, trainee Civil Engineer from Edinburgh. My BMW is a 1995 E34 520i, one previous owner and 36,000 miles from new. He's my pride and joy and such fantastic car to drive. I've actually already written about the car for Pistonheads, where it's featured as a Carpool. Here's the link: http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=30098 At the moment, I'm going through the car restoring it to the best condition possible. Having only covered 36,000 miles since new, and "new" was over 19 years ago, the list isn't huge. Mechanically it's sound, just wanting a little tidy up on the body work. The interior is a sumptuous light grey leather and is completely unmarked so there's no restoration needed there. Over the years, there's been a couple of dings and some scratches so I'll be looking to get the car resprayed, keeping the original colour of metallic Oriental Blue. Other than that, I've done: Four new metric tyres All new tensioners and belts for the engine New radiator, expansion bottle and thermostat New water pump New brembo brake pads all around New rear exhaust silencer New front wheel bearings New light bulbs all around In the near future I'll be looking to get all the rubber parts of the suspension and anti-roll bars changed, tighten up the steering box and perhaps pump up the rear suspension a little as it seems to sit a bit low at times. After all that, and the respray, I'm pretty confident that this E34 will be one of the tidiest around and will be something I'm looking to keep for many years to come. Thanks for reading!
