I found this great web site that helps explain exactly what you need to do to improve the 'Corona' light brightness: http://www.squidoo.com/bmw-angel-eyes-are-the-latest-innovation-in-bmw-style Cheers.

Thanks Gav, I thought that might be the case. I take it this means you can't upgrade these: http://www.hids4u.co.uk/bmw-angel-eyes-led-upgrade-e90-91.html Is there a better light bulb I could replace my existing ones with?

Okay here is a pic of my rather dim lights! Do you think it's the 'angel light' upgrade that would be best suited to these lights? Any other suggestions on what other options are available to me? Cheers.

I'm first trying to establish what type of lights I have on my car. Then depending on the cost, I'd like to upgrade them, they aren't very bright at the mo!

Hi guys, I have a 320d M sport(58) with front 'halo' type lights. Are these also known as Xenon? I was wondering if you could run them with just 2 rings when set to daylight running? The 'halo' rings are on but so is the dipped headlight in the centre of one of them. I've seen other BMW's with what look like brighter 'halo' rings. Any ideas? Cheers, Scott.

Well finaly recieved my car yesterday with two new wheels & tyres, feels great. The car had 'lazer alignment' and all is well. The steering wheels sits perfectly straight too! After a few hiccups I have to praise BMW at Newbridge Edinburgh. I can't complain at the service I recieved. Looking forward to many miles of care feel motoring, fingers crossed. Tum
  7. Hi Jake, I had a strange knocking noise too on my Golf. It turned out to be stones lodged in the suspension cups. Might be worth checking the springs you haven't yet changed. Good luck!

Indeed Dabsy, my car steers to the right when I try to straighten up the steering wheel, such that the 3 spoke M' steering wheel is horizontal along the top. This made me suspect the wheels might need alignment. My car will be ready tomorrow. I'll let you know how she drives. Tum.

LOL! How did you know it was pulling to the left!

TBH I think I'll be making sure everything is straight before walking out he door.

The only reason this all came to light was because the steering wheel was maybe 1 or 2 degrees off centre. I have a touch OCD, so when I called to say the service light had come on (whole other story) I asked to get he wheel alignment checked. So because they took a more detailed look they found out about the buckled wheels. I'm just glad I mentioned it, because I hadn't felt any vibration coming from the damaged wheels. So, I should get two new wheels & tyres and some sort of 'Laser wheel alignment' done. I would of thought that this sort of thing would have been caught when going through the 'BMW approved' checks. Apparently not. Cheers, Tum

Just had a call from my loacal BMW service department, apparently two wheels on my 320d are buckled, front left and rear right. Luckly they have agreed to replace these free of charge. I've only owned the car two days! Oh and a puncture too. My question, has anyone else experienced a buckled wheel, 18" alloys in paticular? How easy are they to damage? Obviously I'm now a little aprehensive, especially on our perfect pothole free UK roads, ha ha! Cheers!

Hey guys, I've used '1234' as the default bluetooth passcode for two different cars. Worth a try.
  14. Tum replied to dek013's topic in Wanted
Choose phone from the car menu, Turn on phone's bluetooth, Hit search, Your phone should find cars bluetooth signal, Enter the code when asked. I think the car & phone needs the code.

I thought it might just be me, I too came from a smaller engined car, 1.6 golf. Cheers Gav!

Hi guys, having only had the car a week or so I have noticed when changing gear the car wants to run away or accelerate without me pressing the pedal. It does this after the car has warmed up and your going up through the gears. Would this just be a 'feature' of the M sport setup. I find myself having to put in the clutch to control the speed especially at slower speeds. This is not a huge problem but more of a subtle feeling of acceleation. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this before or if I should be worried about it? Thanks in advance.

Traction control button? Missed that on the test drive, does this mean I'll have to read through the owners manual! I've attached a pic

Hi Gav, yes I kinda hoped you'd have to be trying before it broke traction. Looking forward to having some fun!
  20. Hello all, Just thought I'd say hi. I'm just back from the BMW dealer where I've just bought a 320d M sport touring (58). This is my first ever BMW & rear wheel drive car! Should I be worried driving in wet weather etc ;-) 18" alloys with run flats. Cheers, Tum.
