  1. Does anybody have instructions on how to remove the rear climate control panel on a 2011 730d F01, as I need to change mine due to a cracked screen?
  2. The climate control panel screen in the rear of my 7 Series 2011 F01, is cracked, I have been quoted over £500 to replace it by BMW, the unit works perfectly but lets the car down as it's cracked, can these screens be repaired or replaced, does anybody know a company that can do this? Thanks
  3. Hi I recently brought a 2011 730d M Sport with 45,000 miles on the clock, after a few hundred miles I could here a slight whining noise coming from the engine or transmission, I have had the car in at my local dealer on two separate occasions and they say there is nothing wrong with the car, engine or transmission and that this whining noise is a characteristic of the 7 series? I spoke to BMW who advised the same? I then took the car to an independent who was trained by BMW and he says its no normal but ruled out the transmission as the noise comes when rolling in neutral? Does anybody have any experience with this model making a whining noise, any ideas welcome? Thanks, Gareth
  4. Hi Jim, The water is only in the drivers footwell, I had the pollen filter housing out today, there was a bit of leaf debris in there so cleaned it all out and put back together, I could see that with heavy rain the drain holes would quickly back up, especially with leaf debris in there, and overflow in to the air intake / heater matrix. Waiting for the next big downfall Gareth
  5. Hi, Would anybody have any advice on the following, my X5 has been parked for a week on the drive, it's been raining heavily and the carpets are soaked on the drivers side, I have checked door seal which are all ok, there is no sun roof, I have taken out the micro filter and looked in the compartment under the scuttle panel for drain holes but coudn't find any? Any help or advice with a picture would be appreciated. Thanks Gareth
