  1. Just in case anyone has the same problem, it is now ok. I think the fault was the underseat connectors to the tensioners. Also I found out that the diagnostic gadget needs to be connected to the round socket next to the engine, not the scart type under the steering wheel. My car obviously never had an occupancy sensor or seat belt warning.
  2. Hi I am a new member. I have owned a 1999 Z3 2.8, since 2002. I believe it was imported but I don't know for sure. VIN is WBACH32030LE92526. THE AIRBAG light has stayed on ever since I have had it, except for a brief period after the local BMW dealer expensively reset it. Looking under the passenger seat, there is no sign of an occupancy sensor, nor the black box to which it would connect. see photo. The seat belt warning light goes off whether belts are fastened or not. I have a diagnostic gadget, but it reports that the diagnostic bus itself is not working. Any suggestions as to what is wrong and how to fix it gratefully recieved. Thanks, Mark
