  1. Hi Daz Thanks for that, ive cleaned that and it still chugs a bit, also think I need a new clutch :(
  2. Hi Daz, where is the throttle body located? cheers Kev
  3. I have cleaned the MAF and not done a ECU reader on it, can I just clean the throttle body or does it need a new one?
  4. Hi guys, I have a slight idle problem with my compact again, I have changed the oil, the gearbox fluid, the rocker cover gasket, the head gasket, the lambda sensor, and checked all hoses on the car as well as cleaned the ICV and while it has improved the idle the car still occasionally does a bit of a chug (as though it is going to cut out????) Does anyone have any ideas?? I am now at a total loss and seriously considering just buying a donor car and using its engine and gearbox Kevo
  5. Cool, Cheers for your help again Gav ;)
  6. Would a faulty/failed lambda sensor make my car 'chug' ? It has the other symptoms such as using fuel like there is no tomorrow, and hesitates slightly, it also has a funny idle, sometimes idling to high then other times its fine, it was a bit of a sod to start yesterday. I have cleaned the ICV and checked for air leaks, ive replaced the rocker cover gasket and now I don't know what else to try. My local mechanic said he thinks it sounds like a lambda sensor but said he doesn't really know cos he doesn't like working on BMW's!!!! Please Help
  7. Hi guys, For some reason my compact drivers door lock will not turn, therefore I have to lock/unlock the central locking via the passenger door lock, (Which is becoming very annoying!!) Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem maybe or any solutions?? I have tried WD40, ive tried taking the door lock apart and still no joy HELP PLEASE LOL

  10. Thanks very much, Is this an easy fix? I like to try and do as much work on it myself if I can (Mainly because I don't trust garages with my pride and joy lol !!)
  11. I have another problem with my little Yellow Compact lol !! Everytime I go over a bump in the road, and lets face it there are plenty of them on our roads these days, there is a loud knock/bang any ideas? I have had the front rear bushes done on the wishbones and I have been told that it could be the anti roll bar link rods???? It is driving me mad and I need to know what it is lol
