    Switch Lights On To 'side' And Boot Opens

    Duchessdoll posted a topic in BMW X5 Series Forum
    Recently the main beam bulb blew on my X5. The standard H7, 55W bulb was replaced. Since then I have had to replace it again and the side light bulb which controls the halo ring has been replaced twice. Also, have noticed that the self diagnostic adjustment of lights when starting up now does not occur. Tonight, on replacing halo ring bulb, I noticed that when I switched on the halo lights, the boot opened!!! Any suggestions as to what on earth is going on?
