  1. Yes, no dipstick. BM say 2/3 of driver do not check d/stick. You check it with the idrive computer
  2. Thanks for the friendly welcome. Some years back, around 1997, there was a 'BMW drivers club' based in suffolk. Now defunct sadly. I was a member and went to some rallies.
  3. This is my 4th 5 series car. My first was a 1987 525i saloon. Still havent got over it. Last three have been tourers two 530's now a 252i m tourer (2996 engine) No dipstick - amazing, I'll probably check the oil more than before! Pics show my first and my currrent. Whatever problems I've ever had with Bm's once I get in the seat and drive I remember why I bought it. I'm nearly 71. when I can't get anything out of driving I'l pack it in. Gimm'e rear wheel drive anytime. paule61
