The occupancy sensor is a very common thing to go on bmws, when the occupancy sensor does go your find your airbag light being on constantly which is annoying, now I think thus bypass occupancy sensor is really good and can save you £££s, I bought mine off eBay for 10 quid and it takes around 10 mins to fit, you must disconnect the battery and the occupancy sensor is located underneath the passenger seat and your need to take the seat out, it's a 15mm socket an there are 4 bolts, once you have taken these out I didn't take the sit completely out I just put it on it's side resting against the back seats, under Neath you will need to unclip the unit and once done will look like this
The blue and white wires going into the back of the seat you need to cut and leave at least an inch of wire, strip the blue and White wire and the bypass unit you get should look like this with corsponding wires
Wire the wires in with the connecting block supplied and click the unit and bypass sensor back into place, I used a cable tie to keep the bypass unit in place, bolt the seat back in place and connect the battery. Job done!!
