Evening folks, After much consideration I'm deciding to get rid of my vectra vxr. I've always looked at the X5's and tomorrow I may bite the bullet and buy one. I'm going to see a 2005 55 plate in silver with black leather heated seats and sat/tv pack fitted. Been looking at the forums etc for advise and experience. In a nut shell, I'm looking for your help. Tell me your honest opinions on the X5's, the good the bad the ugly. I'm running 23.5mpg in the vectra and looking to see what I'll get out the X5! What sort of mileage are people getting to a full tank on a 3.0d sport 2005 model. Thanks in advance. Stevie

Help needed, Looking to purchase my first BMW X5, cant wait to get my hands on 1. But wanting to know what's the tell tale signs of possible problems e.g faulty gearbox etc Thanks
