I bought mine from europarts and it bolted straight on just screw and plug in, job done, 5 mins at the most.

Firstly here is what happened. Got in the car to go away for the weekend, turned the key and the whole ignition key and barrel seems to have turned too far, so the steering lock is off but the key wont turn any further to activate the ignitio, so that was that. Had a quick look myself, but not really got much of an idea what I am doing so got a locksmith to have a look who couldnt do much either, so called the RAc. The RAC guy sorted it so at least now I can start the car and drive it but I am going to have to replace the switch , Is this much of a job? and how do I stand if I manage to get it apart and get a new barrel and key etc with the immobiliser?

I have had to do exactly the smae on mine and there is only one sensor

Still trying to sort the radio, where does the white wire from the ariel amp connect to on the radio? does it supply power to the amp? or does it do something else?? also there is a plain yellow wire, what is that for as I cant seem to find it on the wiring diagram.

How the he--l do I get the drive shaft out of the hub??

I am in need of some parts for the handbrake on my 316i and the part numbers are different from left to right, so which side of the car is the left and which is the right? Is the right the offside as you look at i from the front ? or the rear?.

Are the rear wheel bearings a DIY job??

So how many bulb holders do you have in the cluster? The indicator is on a different fuse than the side light . So the earth might be a problem.

I thought about that so will recheck the wiring.
