Seems like a reasonable price to me. With any car you always run the risk of something expensive going wrong but it's just pot luck sometimes. A well maintained BMW should be as good as anything! :)

Blue looks good if you like that sort of thing but white is actually more useful in terms of light you can use to see by... :lol:

I would have thought you would have heard a really bad sounding noise whist driving/starting if it was the timing chain? Could be some kind of immobiliser issue?
