  1. Thank you Dave, I have booked in for a diagnostics in couple of weeks time, will see if there is any thing shown linked to gearbox 👍
  2. Good afternoon When the engine revs the rev counter goes up as normal. Car has covered 92k miles. Gearbox has not been serviced I did ask my BMW specialist, who is brilliant, he said gearbox oil lasts lifetime of the car. The car revs only come down for the first 4 to 5 mins of driving in cold. No error messages and car drives fine. Once warm revVID_20251203_132645.mp4s hold as they should. Would diagnostics probably show anything or anything linked to gearbox? Thanks
  3. Hi, I am new here and Iwas wondering if anyone can help please.. I have a 2009 bmw 730d auto on 92k miles. Just noticed when the car is driven on a cold start, for the first 5 minutes or so when accelerating the rev gauge goes up as it should, and the auto box changes gears as normal. However, when I take foot off the accelerator the rev gauge comes fully down as though the car is stationary in idle. After 5 minutes driving the rev gauge remains higher as it should going through the auto gears. When the rev gauge comes down, the car still drives fine, doesn't stall, no error messages. Is it normal for rev gauge to come down to idle, when you take foot off accelerator, for the first 5 minutes of driving in cold. When the car is warm the rev gauge stays where is should higher than idle. You can see from screenshot I am nearly doing 25 mph, my foot is off accelerator, the rev gauge is on idle (under 1) when in fact when the car is warm and driving at 25mpg the rev gauge is at 1 and half. Many thanks
