Hi Dave, thank you for your message and tips. Long story short the problem was actually with my phone. I went to my local garage and they placed their own mobile on the charging pad and it worked, unlike my phone. I tried the equivalent of control alt delete, switched the phone off and on and lo and behold it started working!! Cost: no charge. Thank you for trying to help. Regards Paul
