  1. Cheers Stu Thanks for the info. I'm originally from close to that neck of the woods. Driving over to Hull with it is likely to be a challenge as its currently SORN and with the engine running rough I'm reluctant to drive that kind of distance. Reckon I'll have to have it collected and delivered somewhere for diagnosis and repair, which may actually open up places around the Hull area I guess. I'll check them out, with one or two other independents that have been shared from a post i made on the 2 series forum. Thanks again for the reply. Cheers - Paul
  2. Hi Dave Thanks for the reply, very much appreciate it. I've done just that and found a few garages relatively local so will start to work through them. Hopefully it can get resolved now, its been stood a while. Thanks - Paul
  3. Hi, looking for advice and/or recommendations. I have a 2016 2 Ltr Diesel 2 Series Active Tourer 218d. Bought the car thinking it had a FSH, at 70k miles now got 75k ish. Looks like it hadn't been properly serviced for about 20k miles. After running it for 8 months the engine started to run rough and when my regular garage took a look the filter was on the cusp of falling to bits and the oil thick with not much of it. Up until that point it seemed to run ok. My regular garage don't do engine diagnostics, just regular servicing. It still runs, but rough. Its been suggested that it could be as simple as the timing chain is stretched and thus a replacement and having it timed up could fix it, but it also could be that more damage has been done. I'm struggling to find someone/where to diagnose and repair, I'm based in Leeds. Can anyone share any solid recommendations in the locality that could diagnose and repair? Or maybe I'm better just selling as spares or repair?? Any help greatly appreciated, just want to get it sorted or sold and move on. Cheers - Paul
