    I have a 2002 BMW 530I. My wife was driving one night and a water hose busted it ran hot for a short time. The car was in worse condition than it appeared at the time of purchase. But she got water back in it plus oil. Well it still would crank. I got it towed to my house. My first thought was the head gasket, but the oil was clear. So I noticed the head cover gasket busted so I replaced. I also replaced the plugs and coil ok. I’ve checked the fuel filter and the intake gasket among other things inside and out.
