Thanks for your reply Dave, I’ll give the garage a call as they haven’t stated if it’s in the subframe or body. That should help me make up my mind. The car has sentimental value as it belonged to my late parents, but can’t let heart rule head 😔

Hi, car has failed mot today on nearside and outside rear outer suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded. Have been quoted 10-15 hours labour 😣 Does this sound right? Have owned the car since 2004/2005 - is it worth saving? Thanks
