  1. Thanks Dave! I will definitely have to put something between the frame and hose. Another thing I noticed is that the replacement hose that I bought (AC Delco Pro) was about a half inch or so longer than stock. This made matters worse, especially at the top where it connects to the pipe. Because of that little bit of extra length, the hose rubs the steering knuckle and has a slight kink in it. Ugh! Can't new parts just fit right? Lol!
  2. Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, so thanks for having me. I have a 2002 325xi and just replaced all the coolant pipes/hoses. The coolant hose that attaches to the plate underneath the reservoir (not the one that goes to the reservoir) and goes up to the coolant pipe (sort of underneath the DISA area) seems to be poorly engineered. This hose rubs the driver side frame rail badly. The original hose also rubbed the frame, so I figured that's just the way it is. If any of you have an xi, can you verify that this coolant hose is designed to rub the frame rail? I mean the frame rail is smooth where it rubs, so it's not like it's going to cause a leak anytime soon. Just find it odd that it's engineered this way. Thanks! Mike
