Hi everyone thanks for your help. Just took my car to a local garage and he had some software which he plugged in and checked out my car,.It turned out the HU came from a car that didn't have Bluetooth or a cd multi changer. so he re-set the settings and everything works ok

Hi Jack should have mentioned the HU does not pick up the the cd multi-changer in the boot either, don't know if this is connected in any way.

Hi Jack thanks for getting back to me. Just checked in the boot and found a MULF module. Not sure if this makes a difference but seem to remember garage changing radio just before I brought the car (old one faulty). Do they have to be coded to match module ?

Hi can anybody help me ? I have a 2006 320d touring with a BMW professional radio fitted. The problem is when I go into the menu there is no icon for the phone, am I missing something or just being stupid ? The aux plug in glove box works for music and the steering controls work but I really want to be able to connect my phone by Bluetooth, any ideas ? ..
