Can anyone tell me what this is? some say it is a light but it does not light up on my car

Can anyone advise me about a possible light in the console under the radio (as picture) I have removed the panel to fit an extra USB socket and discovered the module attached to the case marked LED, but it doesn’t light when I turn the external lights on

Connected Drive subscription, looked it up on the web Very very expensive I'm only a poor lad with all the packages it would be over £1000 PA

Oh! didnt know I needed a subscription to use the app

New car ( well to me) 420i 2019 Trying to activate the BMW app on my phone, it is asking for an activation code sent to my iDrive. Can get no message, am i doing something wrong? Hi First time member, just changed my Mercedes 430 eclass for a 4 series 420i convertible. Not as comfortable but much more fun to drive. Can anyone please help me? I am looking to upgrade my entertainment system to include Android Mirror. I have looked on the web and 2 possible solutions are available. 1 Add a new module which will give me Carplay and Android Auto cost about £250 2 Recode my existing system to add Carplay and Android Auto cost about £30 Has anyone undertaken this recode and is it safe and reliable? Also I need to fit an extra USB socket in the dash. I have looked on the web and it looks like there is an unused USB socket connector back of radio module. I can purchase a USB lead to connect to this socket will it work?
