Hi, I’m not sure if it has a dipstick I can’t seem to locate it. The oil at max is on the hub after it done the check. Thanks

Hi guys, I’ve recently purchased bmw series 1 sport 118d. I had a message come up saying oil is below minumum. I did about ten miles to Halfords and topped it up with 2 litres of oil. I’ve done an oil check and on the hub it’s at max. I’ve heard that the engine seems to be rattling abit more. It might be me coming from a 1.6 petrol car to a diesel but would it be worth releasing some oil? Thanks in advance
