    e90 320d rattle

    Hey guys, When pulling away in 1st or at low revs with acceleration in 1st/2nd I'm getting a rattle coming from behind the dashboard for a few seconds until the revs build. If I give it a kick of accelerator when pulling away I don't get the noise. I've had a diesel Countryman before that did the exact same thing. Any ideas what it could be, it sounds more cosmetic than mechanical, but I'm not too sure? Thanks

    Hi guys, Due to used car prices going through the roof, I decided to get a 2009/59 320d e90 SE manual. It's got full history from BMW and a BMW specialist and is on 61k. I am a little concerned about the old timing chain issues, but the car sounded very smooth ticking over. Just a bit of gearstick vibration at the lights. How concerned should I be about the potential timing chain issues, as from what I understand it was a more prominent issue on the 2006-early 09 cars? Any other advice is appreciated
