    F31 engine noise

    ben5010 posted a topic in BMW 3 Series Forum
    I've recently purchased a F31 and noticed some strange noises from the car. First is the ticking sound from the engine, worse when cold but still audible when warm. Second is a almost whine noise when pulling away in 1st and 2nd gear only, as soon as you stop accelerating the noise stops or if you take it out of gear.
