  1. Had the car back from having a small bit of paint done at the weekend, engine was stinking so decided to give it a good clean, whilst engine was running. After I had finished gave it a good spray with gt85 and left it running whilst I washed the rest of the car. Went to put it in the garage to polish and it cut out and won't restart. The engine is cranking but won't fire, called the breakdown company out and they could not connect to the computer and suggested it's an imobaliser fault. I cant here the fuel pump when I turn on the ignition, dash lights are on as normal. I have plugged in my C110 scanner and it will read the imobalizer no faults but won't read the DME, any ideas as to what it may be or what I can check next
  2. My previous E90 had a poor MPG when I first had it, low mileage and full service history, changed both thermostats and it improved greatly. There is a hidden menu you can access to check the temperature whilst driving, if you google it you should find a guide.
  3. Looks like I'm not going to get anywhere near what it will cost to replace my e90 like for like from my insurance company so thinking of getting another e36 as I don't do a lot of mileage and the wife has an e91 320d for family trips etc. Seen a 328 advertised locally with nice miles, owned several 323's but never a 328, there's not much difference with insurance and mpg on paper are close, are the engines basically the same, cheers

The horn on the wife's new e91 only works when pressed on one side, is there separate switches/ contacts on each side and is it an easy fix, thanks

Unfortunately following a hand break failure which resulted in my 320d crashing through my neighbours wall my insurance company has deemed the car to be a total loss and made me an awful first offer. Does anyone know how much the sunroof option would have been when new or how I can find out so I can include this info I'm my appeal letter along with a cpl of examples of similar spec cars currently for sale. Thanks
