  2. hi i have recently got a e91 with the 1.8d engine. juat had the timing chain done by the previous owner. when the car gets up to tempture i get a oil buring smell in the cabin of the car and today i was out an i come to some traffic lights and ther some a small amount of smoke coming from the right hand side of the car. i pulled over an had a look but couldnt see anythink obvious. the smoke was coming from the left hamd side of the engine if you was standing infront looking towards the engine.has any body had simlar problems or knows what the problem is im guessing its got an oil leak and its going on to the exhuast but i cant see any obvious wet patches or leaks if anybody can give me some sort of idea what it could be or wher its leaking from id be greatful. thanks luke
