Hi Dave Sorry for the late reply I don't seem to be getting notifications.Yes the drivers door locks and unlocks with the turn of the key but nothing else happens at all.Thanks for the advice I will check that site out.Regards Nigel.

Morning Dave No not tried resetting them yet but I printed off some info about doing it last night.The central locking doesn't work by turning the key in the drivers door either ?.Thanks Nigel.

Hi,I purchased a 2004 E61 530 d se touring two months ago and the battery went flat through lack of use.I opened the drivers door with the key as the remote did nothing which was presumably down to the low voltage.I pulled the bonnet and used jump leads to bump it off another vehicle.The battery is a recent replacement so I took it off to charge it.On refitting the charged battery the central locking does not work with the key or remote, only with the button on the dash.I have taken the car for a short drive and used the spare key but still no joy with the key in the drivers door or remote.All was fine before the battery lost charge.Can anyone help as most of the posts on the internet seem to work with the key but not remote.Thanks for your help.
