    driver side speaker stopped working but works when I press Gong

    Hi all, A few days ago we got a used 2009 BMW 328i. Everything in tip top shape. Today the driver side front speaker is not working. I was worried that my son's friend blew the speaker out when he thought it would be funny to crank the volume up on a bass heavy song, but when I was messing around with the controls I noticed the speaker plays music when I press the Gong button. Any idea why that may be? Thanks for your help
