Hi Does anyone know if I can turn the volume up on my parking sensors, and how? (2001 3.0 petrol X5). Radio doesn't have to be too loud to drown out the parking aid tones. The rad/gps is an after market Eonon, that's crap really. Also, do stainless steel pipes help bhp, or just sound like do :) Rich

Good advice, thanks. It is a good car. Might get a stainless steel exhaust later this year. If it sounds better, it will probably feel quicker, lol. Rich

Hi Shane I had the same problem with my X5/3.0. Temp gauge wouldn't warm up, and the heaters were cool. I had the thermostat replaced and everything works great now. Cost £160 in all Rich

Hi Guys I've got a 3.0i petrol X5. 2001/E53 Has anyone out there had their 3.0 petrol engine tuned? I'm seeing an 18hp increase in power, but not sure what that means in actual performance? (I've looked into buying a 4.8 for more power, but this car is a good one, so I'm keeping:) Basically, is tuning my engine worth the money? Thanks in advance Rich

Hi I've got a 3.0i petrol X5. 2001/E53 (Sports seat, but not heated) Anyone out there know if I can just buy some heated seats (from a car of a similar year) and plug them into my own car?? Or is not that simple?? Not sure if I have the wiring. Hoping I do, and it's just not being used. Thanks

Ha ha, the spare wheel?! A good point, easily overlooked. I think mine is smaller; had it out when I changed the battery. I need to get them done in the next couple months. May as well go big. Thanks for the advice... Rich

Hey I've got 19" wheels so that would be a good option. Are the calipers on the 4.4's brakes bigger than mine? Can I upgrade those to? Rich

Hye Thanks. I'll take a look. I've seen sports seats being sold online that look the same as mine, comfort seats to? But confusing. I prefer a tighter fit with my seats. Will investigate further Rich

Hey guys The brakes on my 2001 x5 3.0 petrol will need doing soon (all round). Any ideas out there for upgrading the discs and pads? Budget of a grand, or so. Rich
