  1. Hi all, 3 series owner here. Currently have a '15 plate which is due for its' first service later on this year. Unfortunately I don't have the service pack. I made a few inquiries this week as to how much the service will cost me. To my dismay it's going to come in at £290! To make matters worse, the second service is going to be £600+!!! How BMW can justify this I have no idea. Anyway my question is, do I have to take it to my main BMW dealer to be serviced? Or can I go to a BMW approved garage to have it done? (Hopefully at a lower cost). I don't want to void the warranty as I've got the car on finance for 4 years and will have to have it serviced twice in that period. I plan to return it at the end of the 4 years and I don't want to be penalised for having it serviced elsewhere. Any help would be great thanks!
